TERMS OF USE
LAST UPDATED 6 OCTOBER 2026
The rules for using Tezeta. In short: be 18 or over, be honest in your reviews, treat other people with respect, and remember that venue details come from third parties and can change.
01ABOUT THESE TERMS
These terms are an agreement between you and Tezeta Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17493999), whose registered office is 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF. Tezeta Ltd owns and operates Tezeta.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Tezeta Ltd, and "Tezeta" means the website and app it operates. They apply whenever you use Tezeta, on the web or in the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Tezeta.
02WHO CAN USE TEZETA
You must be 18 or over. Tezeta is currently available by invitation, and an account is for one person - do not share it or create one for someone else.
Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
03YOUR CONTENT
Your content means anything you add to Tezeta: your profile, ratings, reviews, lists, plans, photos and submissions. It stays yours.
So that we can run the service, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, adapt (for example resizing a photo or quoting part of a review) and share your content within Tezeta, and to feature content you submit for the editorial section. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except that ratings and reviews you leave remain on Tezeta, detached from your name, after you delete your account, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to post, and make sure your reviews reflect your own genuine experience.
04COMMUNITY RULES
Tezeta has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not use Tezeta to post or send anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
- is hateful or discriminatory, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualises anyone;
- is violent, promotes self-harm, or encourages illegal activity;
- impersonates another person or misrepresents who you are;
- is spam, advertising or a scam, or a fake, paid-for or incentivised review - including reviews of a business you own, work for or compete with;
- shares someone else's private information without their permission;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
You must also not try to access other people's accounts or data, interfere with how Tezeta works, or copy its content or data by scraping or other automated means.
Reporting and blocking. You can report any profile, review or list, and block any user, from within the app. We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours - removing the content and, where it is warranted, suspending or removing the person responsible. You can also report something by emailing hello@tezeta.co.uk.
05ILLEGAL CONTENT AND COMPLAINTS
Content that is illegal in the UK is not allowed on Tezeta. This is how we protect people from it:
- Every profile, review and public list has a report option, and you can also report anything by email. You do not need to be sure something is illegal to report it.
- A person reviews every report. When we become aware of illegal content, from a report or in any other way, we remove it swiftly, and we aim to act on all reports within 24 hours.
- We suspend or remove the accounts of people who post illegal content, and where there is a risk to someone's safety we may pass information to the police.
- We do not currently use automated tools to scan or detect content. We rely on reports and on our own review.
- We apply these rules in the same way to everyone.
Complaints. You can complain to us by emailing hello@tezeta.co.uk if you think content on Tezeta is illegal or breaks these terms, if you disagree with a decision to remove your content or to suspend, restrict or close your account, if you are unhappy with how we handled a report, or if you think we have not followed these terms. Tell us what the complaint is about and, where you can, which profile, review or list is involved. A person will look at it, we aim to reply within 14 days, and we will tell you what we decided and why. If we got it wrong we will put it right, for example by restoring your content or account.
06PLACES, EVENTS AND OFFERS
Venue and event information - opening hours, prices, photos, addresses and so on - comes partly from third parties, including place-information databases, ticketing and event-listing services and the venues themselves, and can be out of date or wrong. Please check with the venue before you go.
We are not responsible for venues, events or anything that happens when you visit them. Recommendations reflect ratings and taste, not an endorsement or a safety check.
Offers are made by venues, not by us. Each offer is subject to the venue's own conditions and availability, and it is the venue that must honour it.
If Tezeta shows you places that serve alcohol, please drink responsibly.
08OUR SERVICE
Tezeta is free to use. We are continually developing it, so features may change, be added or be withdrawn, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We will try to give notice of significant changes.
The Tezeta name, logo, design and software belong to Tezeta Ltd. These terms do not give you any right to use them other than to use Tezeta itself.
09SUSPENSION AND ENDING YOUR ACCOUNT
You can stop using Tezeta and delete your account at any time from Profile, Preferences, Delete account.
We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, if we need to for legal reasons, or to protect other people. Where it is appropriate and safe to do so we will tell you why. If you think we have made a mistake, you can complain as set out in "Illegal content and complaints" above.
If we take down or restrict your content, or suspend or ban you, in breach of these terms, you have the right to bring a claim against us for breach of contract.
10OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Otherwise, because Tezeta is a free service provided with reasonable care but "as is", we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for losses caused by venues, events or other users, or for business losses. Our total liability to you for anything relating to Tezeta is limited to £100.
That limit does not apply if defective digital content that we supplied damages a device or other digital content belonging to you because we did not use reasonable care and skill. In that case we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.
11IF YOU USE THE IOS APP
If you downloaded Tezeta from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and Tezeta Ltd only, not Apple. Tezeta Ltd, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If a third party claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms, such as your mobile carrier's, when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
Questions, complaints and claims about the app should be sent to Tezeta Ltd, 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF, or by email to hello@tezeta.co.uk.
12CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before any significant change takes effect. If you keep using Tezeta after that, you accept the updated terms; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
13LAW AND DISPUTES
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there is a dispute, please contact us first - most things can be sorted out quickly. If not, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
